Swedish Health Services Linen Representative *Sign-on Bonus $1,000 in Seattle, Washington


$1,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Swedish that begin on your first day of employment.

Responsible for the distribution and storage of linen and other related supplies

  • Moves linen carts weighing up to 700 pounds; and delivers tubs of linen weighing up to 200 pounds throughout the medical center. Delivers scrubs to locker room areas.

  • Loads linen carts using linen inventory system (LinenHelper) and moves to staging area.

  • Cleans linen exchange carts.

  • May be required to manually pick up and throw individual soiled linen bags weighing up to 40 pounds.

  • Uses LinenHelper inventory system and the Linen Service PC.

  • Completes specific assignments (Task Listing) according to schedule. Follows all technical requirements; i.e., appropriate handling of linens, and use and handling of LinenHelper Palm Terminal.

  • May be required to calculate the replacement linen needed for the day and transmit order to HCSA via the Internet.

  • Answers phone, takes messages and writes orders.

  • Trains new employees in skills and job tasks as directed.

  • Works in a safe manner and adheres to all established safety practices. Reports unsafe conditions to manager.

  • Follows Universal Precautions and MSDS procedures at all times. Always wears gloves when handling soiled linen. Participates in drills and emergencies as needed and directed.

  • Wears attire appropriate to assignment. Wears ID Badge at all times. Maintains a high level of personal hygiene and follows dress code.

  • Uses supplies as directed. Notifies manager of low supply levels or product problems. Orders supplies as needed. Promptly reports broken equipment to manager.

  • Keeps work area clean and in order at all times.

  • Completes special assignments and other duties as assigned. Assists others in the completion of assignments as time allows. Adheres to all policies and regulations.

  • Linen or inventory experience.
