Miranda, Med Surg RN
Miranda started her nursing career at Providence in Everett, and when her husband’s job moved them to the South Puget Sound, she knew she wanted to be part of the Centralia team. She says she’s really enjoying her experience on the surgical unit.
"I really couldn't ask for a better team. They not only care about me as a nurse, but they care about me as a person. I've never felt more supported in a work environment than I do here," she says.
I can't imagine picking a different facility to work at. I feel supported in my education, and with Providence Swedish’s support and help, I was able to grow into the nurse I am today.
Why did you choose Providence Centralia Hospital?
What's special about Providence Centralia Hospital is, we may be small, but we're mighty. We are full of truly wonderful people that genuinely care about their patients, and their coworkers, and you just feel the love when you walk into the doors here.
What would you tell someone who’s considering applying?
If one of my friends wanted to work here, I would tell them that you are going be a part of the best team ever. You’ll feel supported, you'll feel cared for, and there'll be opportunities to grow and learn. You'll be encouraged to keep taking those steps and growing as a nurse.
How did Providence Swedish help you kick off your career?
The Residency program really sets you up for success. You are working with a cohort of other new nurses, which is a great experience working together to get through the new challenge of being a nurse. They really support you through the journey of starting your career in nursing.
